A Mission Born from Experience

Jerry’s journey to become a leading voice at bullying prevention began in his own childhood experiences born as eighth of nine children in Memphis, Tennessee. Jerry witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of bullied and the power advocacy through his mother Rosie. Green.

He has been targeted by teachers in the classroom, by coaches on the field, by
fellow students in the hallways, and by other kids in the neighborhood. He has
endured the sting of military leadership using rank as a weapon, the cold
maneuvering of corporate America’s boardrooms, and the quiet but crushing tactics
of district administrators.

Through it all, Jerry recognized a disturbing truth: bullying behaves like a drug. It’s addictive for the aggressor, destructive for the victim, and toxic to every environment it touches. Like a drug, it spreads — altering mindsets, warping relationships, and eroding trust.
